Environmental assessment
Cardinal Resources has conducted environmental assessments ranging from complex Superfund investigations to routine stormwater collection programs. We understand the nuances of each type of assessment and plan the scope of work to meet the goals of the project.
Environmental assessments are performed for a variety of reasons. They can be mandated under regulatory programs or undertaken to evaluate environmental risk, design site clean-ups, obtain a release from liability, or assess the progress of a remedial action. Cardinal Resources’ personnel are experienced in designing assessment programs to focus on the clients’ plans for the property and the regulatory program under which the work is performed. We are experts in working with analytical laboratories and using creative approaches to present the results of the assessment succinctly, with graphics and data presentations that tell the story.
We perform:

Indoor air sampling
Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessments
Surface water sample collection
The chemical lagoons at this Superfund site were sampled using a hand auger and other techniques
A trench advanced by a backhoe near an old dump area helps assess the extent of contamination
At this site assessment in Southeast Asia, Cardinal Resources adapted sampling techniques to use the locally available equipment and crew
Collecting a sediment sample from a drainage ditch
Routine monitoring of stormwater runoff during an autumn storm
Collecting soil borings to assess migration of industrial pollution
Establishing a sampling grid for contaminated fill
